What is a Section 18 RERA claim?
Under Section 18 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016, if a builder fails to hand over possession by the agreed date, every allottee has a statutory right to either withdraw and get a full refund with interest, or stay and receive interest on all payments made — at the rate of SBI MCLR + 2%, compounded monthly, from the original possession date until actual delivery.
