2. Cookies Used by Brickplot
2.1 Essential cookies (required)
Always active; no consent required. Disabling these may prevent the site from working.

2.2 Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
Active by default but opt-out available.

Data collected: page views, time on page, device / OS / browser, traffic source, region-level location, click actions, scroll depth, on-site search queries. NOT collected: PII (email, name, phone), full IP (anonymized), or sensitive data.
2.3 Preference cookies
Optional. brickplot_prefs (1 year) stores dark mode, text size. brickplot_saved_projects (30 days) caches saved project IDs locally.
2.4 Marketing cookies
NOT active at launch. Reserved for future campaigns; will require explicit user consent when enabled.
3. Cookie Consent Banner
On first visit, a banner appears with choices: Accept All, Customize, Reject Non-Essential. The customize panel lets you toggle analytics, preference, and marketing cookies. Your choice is stored in brickplot_consent (JSON, 1 year).

4.1 Browser controls

- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

4.2 Opt out of Google Analytics
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-on
- Adjust Google Ads Settings

6. Cookie Use for Minors
Brickplot is not directed at children under 13. Parents may request deletion at privacy@brickplot.com.
7. International Cookie Laws
We comply with the strictest standard: explicit consent for non-essential cookies globally. This covers DPDP Act 2023 (India), ePrivacy Directive (EU), and CCPA/CPRA (California).
8. Cookie Changes & Updates
Material changes (e.g., new marketing cookies) will be announced 30 days in advance. Technical updates may be deployed without notice.
